Sunny Tuesday

This morning we are very busy: doing a play, going to the library, building with wedgit blocks, making a mitten with animals based on The Mitten book, using new playdough, retelling the Polar Bear story and finding sight words. Wow! We are also completing a survey asking our friends if they like polar bears or penguins!

This afternoon, we read The Mitten by Jan Brett. We are making a big mitten with animals inside. We also worked with wiki sticks, writing letters. We are building cooperatively and making pixel blocks pictures. We have new reading log books. Some children have read over 100 books! Way to go!

We read a cute book this morning called Penguins, penguins, everywhere! We turned our fishing place into a puppet show area so we are making masks to use as puppets. We are cooperating at building with the blocks and finding sight words. We are also retelling the story of  Polar Bear, Polar Bear.

This morning, we did the play <Little Red Riding Hood> and we learned about walruses - des morses. At centers, we had the light up blocks, we made some meals in the kitchen and took care of babies, we sorted the food, we had a retell of Polar bear, polar bear, We made some walruses on coffee filters and then coloured and sprayed them. We made pictures with pegs.
