Wonderful Wednesday

This morning we learned about the walrus - le morse. The walrus has two big tusks, lots of whiskers. The walrus herd keep the calves safe by making a big circle to protect them when the polar bears try to eat them.

We had our teeth looked at this morning by the hygienist.

Warmer Tuesday

This morning, we read a book and learned about penguins. Did you know that:

penguins are good swimmers?
they don't fly?
they dive under water?
they slide on the ice?
they molt and they get new feathers?
they eat fish?
mommy penguins get food and the daddies take care of the egg in their pouch?
they waddle?

We also talked about some people and animals living in the Arctic.

Snowy Monday

Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful Christmas break. This morning we are talking about our holidays. We are also talking about polar animals. We have a polar animal bingo, we are making penguins and building. We are also practicing our numbers and working on a polar mural.

A special welcome to Mrs. Debbie who is replacing Mrs. Jessica who is on maternity leave. No baby news yet!
