Thundering Thursday

Did you hear the thunder this morning? Today, we are exercising our fine motor skills all over the classroom: at playdough, writing, using blocks and taking transportation surveys. We also have a car wash, cleaning some cars and trucks with sponges. Our airport is still a popular spot. We have been stamping so many passports that our stamp is running out of ink!

Tomorrow is Pizza Day for those who ordered.

The book fair is opened until 8:00 tonight (Thursday), if you are interested in purchasing books.

Reading Wednesday

This morning we went to the book fair, all the new and exciting books led to a lot of reading this morning.  We also continued exploring transportation with our dramatic play airport and labeling stamps at the art center.   We also made roads and vehicles out of playdough, got our minds thinking building puzzles and marble runs out of tinker toys.

I liked going to the book fair.
I liked building puzzles with my friends.
I liked doing work with Mrs.G
I liked working with my brother to pick a book in grade 1.
I liked making vehicles with the playdough.
I liked doing a survey.

This afternoon we expressed our creativity and made cars out of paper plates and tissue paper.  We did math with transportation cards and manipulatives, worked on our fine motor skills with construction vehicle lacing, and did some trial and error building transportation vehicles out of magnet blocks.

Book Fair on Wednesday

Book Fair Alert! We will be visiting the Scholastic Book Fair tomorrow, Wednesday at 9:45. If you want your child to purchase a book, please send in some money in a labeled plastic bag tomorrow. Thank you! The book fair will also be open Thursday after school if you want to come in and purchase some  books.

This morning, we reviewed the transportation words in french and read Little Red Riding Hood. This will be our next play.
